Collapsible Furniture
Royal College of Art - 2022
Collapsible Furniture explores how a single flat object can transform into functional seating and table forms for urban living. Developed during my MA at the Royal College of Art, the project investigates modular geometry, live hinge joinery, and folding mechanisms as a response to shrinking living spaces and the practical demands of moving between homes.
The stool, table, and chair forms all collapse completely flat for storage and transport — joining without tools or fixings. The two-month project moved through seed geometry exploration, joinery testing, packaging direction, and physical prototype making.
